Originally Launched in 1994 as a KALI server host supporting the Mechwarrior 2 Gaming Leagues, Mechnet evolved into a full fledged LAN Game Center supporting PC and Xbox Gaming. As an Igames Member MECHNET Gaming Systems, Inc. worked as a Licensed Beta test and game launch site for Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Activision, and other game developement Entities. MECH.NET hosted several local, regional and National Gaming Events including Microsoft's xBox Halo and Mechwarrior 3 National Tournaments and over 100 PC game titles. Mech.Net's Game center name was later changed to HeroesGaming in 2008 to better reflect it's evolved purpose.

Originally Mechnet Gaming Systems, Inc., Heroes Gaming was the brick and morter Lan and Internet based Game Center supporting 100's of Licensed PC and XBox titles for Tournaments and Casual Play. With the onset of the 2008 recession and the adoption of homebased broadband access, Game Center usage fell into decline throughout the U.S. and HeroesGaming was subsequently closed down in 2010. Today it pays homage to a few of the games they played by preserving the developement and canonical story lines in historical archives online.
